PHOENIX – According to the authorities, a suspected driver driving while intoxicated crashed his car through a girl’s bedroom overnight.

26-year-old Daniel Sanchez Patino was driving his black BMW when he lost control of his vehicle, drove through a fence and crashed through into the girl’s bedroom near 67th Avenue and Camelback Road, said police.

After the crash, the suspect tried to escape on foot but he was taken into custody a block away, said Sgt. Trent Crump of the Phoenix Police Department.

The mother of the little girl said the vehicle just missed her daughter but damaged the furniture of the room.
