AAA of Arizona tows for free Sunday

PHOENIX – This Sunday if you don’t find any safe ride to get home, the American Automobile Association will be available to help you. You can get the service of AAA for free; it will tow your car up to 10 miles home.

The American Automobile Association is reinstating its “Tipsy Tow” service. The main purpose of this service is to cope with the increased number of DUI accidents and deaths during Memorial Day weekend by offering its towing service free of cost. The Tipsy Tow program is open to everyone. Not only can the AAA members, but Non-AAA members can also get their car towed up to 10 miles for free. You do NOT need to be an AAA member to take advantage of the one-way service. After the distance of 10 miles, standard towing rates will be applied.

In every forty-five minutes in the United States, 1 death happens due to alcohol and drivers driving under the influence of alcohol are the reason of 1 in 3 road accidents.

The free “Tipsy Tow” service will begin on Sunday at 6 p.m. and it will end until 6 a.m. on Monday.

A person convicted of DUI for the 1st time faces more than $10,000 in fines, penalties and legal fees.
